An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of Work Rest & Play by English ska and pop band Madness from 1980. This vinyl single has been carefully modelled into the distinctive black and white chequered ska design.
Work Rest & Play is an EP that was headlined by the song Night Boat to Cairo, from the band’s debut album One Step Beyond… The Work Rest and Play EP was the result of the record label wanting the band to release more material from their debut album. They disagreed and a compromise was met and the band decided to release an EP featuring one album track (Night Boat to Cairo) and three new tracks.
