Bros – The Artist/s
Bros are an English band formed in 1986 in Camberley, Surrey. The band originally consisted of twin brothers Matt and Luke Goss, and their friend Craig Logan, who attended Collingwood School in Camberley.[2] The band was managed by former Pet Shop Boys manager Tom Watkins. They achieved chart success and a large teenage fanbase in 1988 with songs such as “When Will I Be Famous” and “I Owe You Nothing”. Early the following year, Logan quit the band and the Goss twins continued as a duo. After two more albums the band split up in 1992. Bros are estimated to have sold 16 million records worldwide. In 2017, the Goss twins reunited to perform two dates as Bros at the O2 Arena in London.
When Will I Be Famous? – The Song
‘When Will I Be Famous?‘ was released as a single in November 1987. The following year, it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, topped the Irish Singles Chart, and entered the top five in several other countries. “When Will I Be Famous?” would later appear on Bros’ 1988 album, Push.
The Bros Logo – The Shape
This record has been modelled into one of the band members in the Bros Logo. The original logo had two band members standing with their hands on their hips alongside the third with is arms outstretched. Thsi was logo was used exstenssively until Craig Logan left the boy band. A boy band is a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. Generally, boy bands perform love songs marketed towards girls and young women. Many boy bands dance as well as sing, usually giving highly choreographed performances. Most boy band members do not play musical instruments, either in recording sessions or on-stage. They are similar in concept to their counterparts known as girl groups.
