An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the song by Swedish pop group, ABBA from 1974, Waterloo. The record was released on the Epic record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into a silhouette of the French statesman and military leader, Napoléon Bonaparte.

Waterloo was written by Benny Andersson, Stig Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and was the winning entry for Sweden in the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest. The song is one of the the best selling singles of all time and their victory began ABBA’s path to worldwide fame.  The song, Waterloo is about a woman who “surrenders” to a man and promises to love him, referencing Napoléon’s surrender at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
