An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the pianist, Russ Conway single from 1959, The Birthday Cakewalk. Released on the Columbia record label, this vinyl record has been reworked into the shape of a candle topped birthday cake.
Russ Conway was a largely self-taught English popular music pianist who had 20 piano instrumentals in the UK Singles Chart between the late 50s and early 60s, including two number one hits. The Birthday Cakewalk was written by Geoff Love and appeared on the B-side of Lucky Five.
