Additional information about this, The Power Station vinyl art.

The Power Station – The Artist/s

The Power Station were a British-American 1980s/1990s rock and pop music supergroup originally formed in New York City and London in 1984. It was made up of singer Robert Palmer, former Chic drummer Tony Thompson, and Duran Duran members John Taylor (bass) and Andy Taylor (guitar). Bernard Edwards, also of Chic, was involved on the studio side as recording producer and for a short time also functioned as the bands manager. Edwards also replaced John Taylor on bass for the recording of the band’s second album. The band was formed in New York City late in 1984 during a break in Duran Duran’s schedule that became a lengthy hiatus. The band was named after the Power Station recording studio in New York, where their first album was conceived and recorded.

Some Like it Hot – The Song

Some Like it Hot is a song by British-American band the Power Station. It was the first single released from the group’s 1985 eponymous debut album. Released by Parlophone in 1985, the song features loud, prominent drum beats from Tony Thompson and lead vocals from Robert Palmer. The video featured transgender model Caroline Cossey (also known as Tula)

The Handheld Hair Dryer – The Shape

This record has been crafted into the silhoutte of a hand held hair dryer. A hair dryer (the handheld type also referred to as a blow dryer) is an electromechanical device that blows ambient air in hot or warm settings for styling or drying hair. Hair dryers enable better control over the shape and style of hair, by accelerating and controlling the formation of temporary hydrogen bonds within each strand. These bonds are powerful, but are temporary and extremely vulnerable to humidity. They disappear with a single washing of the hair.
Hairstyles using hair dryers usually have volume and discipline, which can be further improved with styling products, hairbrushes, and combs during drying to add tension, hold and lift. Hair dryers were invented in the late 19th century. The first model was created in 1911 by Gabriel Ghazanchyan. Handheld, household hair dryers first appeared in 1920. Hair dryers are used in beauty salons by professional stylists, as well as by consumers at home.
