An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the song by Michael Jackson from 1987, Smooth Criminal. The record was released on the Epic record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into a silhouette of Michael wearing his famous white trilby hat, popularised in his video and live performances.

Smooth Criminal is a song written by Jackson and co-produced with Quincy Jones. Two early versions of the song were written. The first song was called “Chicago 1945” which evolved into “Al Capone” but was  later re-worked and re-written as Smooth Criminal. The song is about about a woman named Annie, who has been violently attacked in her apartment by a “smooth” assailant. The song is one of Jackson’s signature songs, and has appeared on numerous greatest hits albums  and is the theme song to Jackson’s film “Moonwalker” which was released the following year.
