Additional information about this, The Alarm vinyl art.

The  Alarm – The Artist

The Alarm are a Welsh rock band that formed in Rhyl, Wales, in 1981. Initially formed as a punk band, The Toilets, in 1977, under lead vocalist Mike Peters, the band soon embraced rock and included marked influences from Welsh language and culture. By opening for acts such as U2 and Bob Dylan, they became a popular new wave pop band of the 1980s. The Alarm’s highest charting single in Britain was 1983’s “Sixty Eight Guns”, which reached number 17 in the UK Singles Chart. Their 1984 album, Declaration, which contained “Sixty Eight Guns”, peaked at number six in the UK Albums Chart. Band members included Mike Peters (alias Eddie Bop), Glyn Crossley (alias Steve Shock), Richard “O’Malley” Jones (alias Bo Larks) and Nigel Buckle (alias Des Troy).

Sixty Eight Guns – The Song

’68 Guns  or Sixty Eight Guns is a song by Welsh rock band the Alarm that was released as a single in August 1983 and later appeared on the group’s debut album Declaration in February 1984. It was written by Alarm members Mike Peters and Eddie MacDonald. The song reached No. 17 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the Alarm’s first top 40 appearance and their highest-ever position on that chart. The lyrics to “Sixty Eight Guns” were inspired by a book that Peters had read about the 1960s street gangs of Glasgow.

The Drummer Boy – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the silhouette of a drummer boy similar to the drummer on the records picture sleeve.
