An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring Only You by Sir Ringo Star. Released on the Apple Record Company in 1974, this vinyl single has been reworked into a silhouette of five-pointed star as worn on the chest of Sir Ring Starr on the singles picture sleeve which was a cropped image of the albums cover.
Only You was originally written by Buck Ram and Andre Rand and made famous by The Righteous Brothers and The Platters. The Song Only You was taken from the Sir Ringo Starr album Goodnight Vienna. The cover artwork of which was based on a still from the classic science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still, with the head of Sir Ringo Starr being replacing that of actor Michael Rennie.
