Mr Blue Sky – Electric Light Orchestra (1977)

An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of Mr. Blue Sky by British rock band, Electric Light Orchestra from 1977 and released on the Jet Records label. This vinyl single is the collectable promotional copy pressed in an electric blue and has been carefully reworked into a  silhouette of a cloud.

Mr. Blue Sky forms the fourth and final track of the ‘Concerto for a Rainy Day’ suite featured on the band’s seventh studio album ‘Out of the Blue’ (1977) Mr. Blue Sky was the second single to be taken from their double album ‘Out of the Blue’, peaking at number 6 in the UK Singles Chart and number 35 in the United States. Mr. Blue Sky, is the background music used to phenomenal effect in the opening fight Scene in the latest ‘Guardian of the Galaxy 2’ movie which has Baby Groot dancing, oblivious to the mayhem going on around him.
