The Artist

Carly Simon is an American singer-songwriter, musician and children’s author. She first rose to fame in the 1970s with a string of hit records including “Nobody Does It Better” from the 1977 James Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me.

The Song

Itsy Bitsy Spider is based on the original nursery rhyme and describes the adventures of a spider as it ascends, descends, and reascends the downspout or “waterspout” of a gutter system (or, alternatively, the spout of a teapot). It features on the B-side to the song, Coming Around Again
