An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the 1984 hit, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker, Jr. The vinyl single has been reworked into a wailing ghost.
The Ghostbusters song was recorded by Ray Parker, Jr. as the theme to the film of the same name starring Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd. Parker was inspired to write the song as a pseudo-advertising jingle that the Ghostbuster business could have commissioned as a promotion after seeing a cheap commercial. It reached number two on the UK Singles Chart on September 16, 1984, staying there for three weeks.
