Foo Fighters – The Artist/s
Foo Fighters is an American rock band, formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1994. It was founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana after the suicide of Kurt Cobain. The group got its name from “Foo fighter”, a nickname coined by Allied aircraft pilots for UFOs and other aerial phenomena they reported seeing. Prior to the release of Foo Fighters’ 1995 debut album Foo Fighters, which featured Grohl as the only official member, Grohl recruited bassist Nate Mendel and drummer William Goldsmith, both formerly of Sunny Day Real Estate, as well as Nirvana touring guitarist Pat Smear to complete the lineup.
For All The Cows – The Song
‘For All The Cows’ is the third major single released by the Foo Fighters from their self-titled debut album. It was only released in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. It was written by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. The album was released in 1995 by Roswell and Capitol Records. Dave Grohl wrote and recorded the entire album himself, apart from a guest guitar spot by Greg Dulli, with the assistance of producer Barrett Jones at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle, Washington, in 1994. He claimed that he recorded the album just for fun, describing it as a cathartic experience to recover from the death of Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain.
The Bull – The Shape
Modelled into the silhouette of a horned bull, inspired by the bull on the records picture sleeve and records centre. A bull is an intact (i.e., not castrated) adult male of the species Bos taurus. More muscular and aggressive than the female of the species, the cow, the bull has long been an important symbol in many cultures, and plays a significant role in beef ranching, dairy farming, and a variety of other cultural activities, including bull fighting and bull riding.
