Kiss – The Artists
Kiss is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley. Well known for its members’ face paint and stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid-to-late 1970s with their elaborate live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. The band has gone through several lineup changes, with Stanley and Simmons the only remaining original members. The original and best-known lineup consisted of Stanley (vocals and rhythm guitar), Simmons (vocals and bass), Frehley (lead guitar and vocals), and Criss (drums and vocals). With their make-up and costumes, they took on the personae of comic book-style characters: The Starchild (Stanley), The Demon (Simmons), The Spaceman or Space Ace (Frehley), and The Catman (Criss).
Crazy Crazy Nights – The Song
Crazy Crazy Nights is a song by the American hard rock band Kiss. It was originally released on the outfit’s 1987 album Crazy Nights. The song was a regular staple at the group’s concerts, up until Eric Carr’s death in November 1991. However, due to constant requests from fans, the song returned to the set-list on the 2010 Sonic Boom Over Europe Tour.
The Kiss Logo – The Shape
Modelled into the bands famous Kiss logo. KISS changed their famous logo primarily for the German Market. Ace Frehley designed the original KISS logo after joining the group in 1973. He changed the two S’s on KISS with lightning bolt-style S’s. Making it one of the most iconic and recognisable band logo’s in the music business. A logo is a graphic mark, emblem, or symbol used to aid and promote public identification and recognition. It may be of an abstract or figurative design or include the text of the name it represents as in a wordmark.
