An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring Candle In The Wind by Elton John. Released on the The Rocket Record Company label in 1987, this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette of Princess Diana (Lady Diana).
Originally written in 1973 as a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, a new version of this record, Candle In The Wind with adjusted lyrics, was released following the tragic death of Princess Diana and sung by Elton John at Diana’s funeral. The vinyl record sold nearly 5 million copies making it the best UK selling single of all time. Since its release Elton John only performs the original version and leaves this very special re-recording as a unique moment in time.
