Additional information about this, Blondie vinyl art.

Blondie – The Artist

Blondie is an American rock band founded in 1974 in New York City by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The band was a pioneer in the American new wave scene of the mid-1970s in New York City. Its first two albums contained strong elements of punk and new wave, and although highly successful in the UK and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the U.S. until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978. Over the next four years, the band released several hit singles including “Dreaming”, “One Way or Another”, “Heart of Glass”, “Call Me”, “Atomic”, “The Tide Is High”, and “Rapture”. The band became noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles, also incorporating elements of disco, pop, reggae, and early rap music. Blondie has sold around 40 million records worldwide and is still active.

Call Me – The Song

“Call Me is a song by the American new wave band Blondie and the theme to the 1980 film American Gigolo. Produced and composed by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder, with lyrics by Blondie singer Debbie Harry, the song appeared in the film and was released in early 1980 as a single. “Call Me” was a International hit and one of their most popular songs. The lyrics were written from the perspective of the main character in the film, a male prostitute.

The Portable Pager – The Shape

This record has been modelled into a portable pager or wireless telecommunications device. A pager, also known as a beeper or bleeper, is a wireless telecommunications device that receives and displays alphanumeric or voice messages. One-way pagers can only receive messages, while response pagers and two-way pagers can also acknowledge, reply to, and originate messages using an internal transmitter.
