An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the Bob Marley & The Wailers hit single from 1983, Buffalo Soldier. Released on the Island record label, this reggae classic has been been modelled into an American bison, also commonly known as the American buffalo or simply buffalo.

Buffalo Soldier became one of Bob Marley’s best-known songs. The title and lyrics refer to the black U.S. cavalry regiments, known as “Buffalo Soldiers”, that fought in the Indian Wars after 1866. Marley likened their fight to a fight for survival, and recasts it as a symbol of black resistance.
