Fleetwood Mac – The Artist
Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands. Fleetwood Mac was founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer. Bassist John McVie completed the lineup for their self-titled debut album. At this time it was primarily a British blues band, and after a series of guitarist changes they where replaced by Lindsey Buckingham from folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Buckingham only agreed to join Fleetwood Mac if Stevie Nicks also joined. The addition of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock sound, and their 1975 self-titled album, Fleetwood Mac, reached No. 1.
Big Love – The Song
“Big Love” is a song by Fleetwood Mac, that appeared on their 1987 album Tango in the Night. The song was the first single to be released from the album, and was a worldwide hit in the charts and dance charts due to a extended 12-inch version. “Big Love” was written by Lindsey Buckingham for a third solo album that he began in 1985, which instead became Tango in the Night. The song epitomised the album’s stylised production, with its provocative “oh–ahh” vocal exchange.
Man With Binoculars – The Shape
This 7″ record has been modelled into a man looking through a pair of binoculars that have heart shaped lenses. The inspiration for this comes from the songs lyrics. “Lookin’ out for love. Big, big love.” Binoculars or field glasses are two telescopes mounted side-by-side and aligned to point in the same direction, allowing the viewer to use both eyes (binocular vision) when viewing distant objects. Most are sized to be held using both hands, although sizes vary widely from opera glasses to large pedestal mounted military models.
