An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring The Beatles UK hit single from 1967, All You Need Is Love that has been reworked into the shape of a loving heart.
All You Need Is Love was written John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney of The Beatles. They were asked to write it for Our World and the brief was to provide a song that could be easily understood by everyone. The Beatles performed the song over a pre-recorded backing track as Britain’s contribution to Our World, the first live global television link. Watched by over 400 million in 25 countries, the programme was broadcast via satellite on 25 June 1967. The song captured the utopian sentiments of the Summer of Love era and topped singles charts in Britain, the United States and many other countries.
